Toward sustainable finance in Asia: Due diligence and deforestation

Deforestation due diligience has become ever more important for financial institutions as they prepare for upcoming legislation both sides of the Atlantic and look to deepen their ESG assessments in the face of greenwashing risks. We outline this background, briefly introduce Trase and Trase Finance and discuss how location-specific analysis is so crucial for understanding and tackling organisation and portfolio risk . We illustrate how Trase Finance's tiered locational data, moving down to regional and asset level, make it a powerful tool for appying TNFD LEAP-FI style assessments.
